Meet Oyeokole Oyesade, The Gospel Singer Popularly Known As Oye

Oyekole Oyesade popularly known as Oye hails from Ogun State, Ijebu igbo to be precise. She is a gospel music artist based in Abuja. She has an album of 8 tracks titled 'HONOUR' She is an undergraduate.

The exclusive interview with her continues below:

When did you start singing?

I started singing from the age of 6,i can still recollect that my teacher in the children's church would love me to sing even when I did not rehearse with them..i was able to catch up and sing as if I knew d songs before then. 

How did the pursuit of my career begin?

Hmm..The truth is, I never believed I could go this far promoting my music. I did not know I could have so much passion and zeal for gospel music. Luckily for me I met a producer E'keyz (still my producer) who God used to bring out the voice and light in me. He motivated me to believe in myself and stick to my own sound, not trying to copy or be like someone else. 

 

How many gospel artists have you worked with?

 For now I have not worked with any gospel artist but I am working on doing some collaborations with some other gospel artists and by God's grace it would be out soon(probably before the year runs out).

What are your plans for your career and who is your role model??

 I have lots and lots of plans on ground and with the help of God I should be unveiling it soon. My role model is Christ; I want to be like Jesus all the time. He is the best example anyone can follow. 

How long have you been into gospel music?

I took my music very serious in 2016.That was when I released my first single ‘Honour’ and ever since then I have been a blessing to people. What people should expect?? Expect live transforming songs from me, get ready to see my face on your TV screen often and everywhere you.
